Kano Electricity Distribution Company haven’t found a reason to keep their customers up to date about the latest development in their organisation using their twitter platform.

The disco twitter was last used to pass information on June 12, 2018, about 52 days ago. This was a tweet about the Ramadan season which has nothing to offer as regards their activities in their organisation.

Just 5 days ago, the handle @kedcoplc came online and only retweeted a tweet they were mentioned on by the Power Sector Recovery Program #PSRP via the handle @PSRPNigeria as quoted below:

@kedcoplc has the largest potential in terms of customer
population with the combined population of the three states
at 19,564,000.00 (2006 national census). The
DisCo has license to generate, distribute and market
electricity in the three states of Kano, Jigawa and Katsina #PSRP

Often times we have stated the importance of social media engagement between the discos and their customers as this aids the relationship in their service delivery.

It is therefore of importance that ANED looks into this and educate their disco on this issue.
