We were on load shedding during the time of the immediate past Manager of AEDC, Karu road , mararaba, Nassarawa state, all the 8 communities in City College approached the then AEDC manager to know what could be done to have us connected to the K4 line which supplies steady power and we were asked to go to Keffi for approval , but we were told they didn’t have the materials, so we offered to provide the materials , so all the 8 communities namely

1)Shebwopkma 1
2) Shebwokpma 2
3) Shebwokpma 3
4) Progessive Vintage City
5) Lape Estate
6) Ruga Jilli ,
7)Nabwuyi and
8) Becky1 Estate

We all contributed the sum of Four Million naira( #4,000.000.00) to purchase the materials. Then we were taken to the K4 line.

But when this present aerial manager in the person of Mr. Chris came on board we were yanked off the line while other neighbouring settlements like Karu extension still enjoy constant light because they are doing the manager’s bidding.

Our grouses now is :
1)The AEDC gives 24 hours light to a sister community on same feeder less than 5 meters but our is been load shedded Despite our donation of equipments worth 4 million Naira.
2) High estimated bills of #10,000 upward, even when the light is been load shedded.
3) Refusal to provide pre paid meters that ministry of power has rolled out.
4)we purchase and maintain our transformer(s).
5) Tampering with breaker installed by TCN for steady distribution.
6)Lack of community engagement.
We therefore make a passionate appeal to relevant authorities to wade into this matter.

Management of Abuja Electricity Distribution Company is encouraged to meet with these communities and resolve their problem
